How to clear & reset Browser Cache?

Modern browsers can cache/save webpages and data to make loading times faster. However, this can sometimes prevent you from receiving the latest updates from the websites or services you use.


This guide outlines the steps to clear the browser cache for all major web browsers.


Choose your browser:

Safari

Chrome

Firefox

Edge


Safari

  1. Go to Safari > Settings
  2. Under the Advanced tab, check the 'Show Develop menu in menu bar' option.

  1. This will display the Develop menu in the top navbar
  2. Click the Develop menu > Empty Caches


  1. This will clear the browser cache. You can simply refresh the webpage for the latest updates.


Chrome


  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear Browsing Data
  2. Make sure only 'Cached images and files' option is selected
  3. Click Clear data button


Alternative Option:

When on the gallery or account webpage, use the following keyboard shortcut:

Windows: Ctrl + shift + R

macOS: command + shift + R


This will do a hard-refresh, clearing the browser cache, and load the latest version of the webpage.



Firefox

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data button

  1. Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.
  2. With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.
  3. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Microsoft Edge


When on the gallery or account webpage, use the following keyboard shortcut:

macOS: command + shift + R
